Job Summary:
Centrillion is seeking a Cleanroom Operator to join a multidisciplinary research team developing new technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing production processes using an automated synthesizer in a GMP-compliant cleanroom environment. The operator will prepare, and load working substrates onto the synthesizer and transfer them between various processing and analytical instruments throughout the manufacturing workflow. This role requires precise adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), consistent documentation, attention to detail, and timely communication of any deviations or equipment issues to ensure high-quality, reproducible production.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cleanroom environment by staging materials, resources, and prescriptions to eliminate potential errors and ensure operations follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain a sterile environment by properly gowning, cleaning the room, and following all cleanroom protocols and behaviors.
- Monitor supply levels and assist with inventory tracking, notifying appropriate personnel for ordering consumables as needed.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring readiness for production at all times.
- Perform routine cleaning, setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance of equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Follow detailed batch records and SOPs precisely for all production steps including reagent preparation, oligo synthesis, and final processing.
- Identify and report defective materials or questionable equipment conditions to the department supervisor promptly.
- Record and analyze QC data, including in-process and final product measurements; report any out-of-specification results or unusual trends to the supervisor or quality team immediately.
- Contribute to safety and quality initiatives by following established guidelines and participating in safety training and audits.
- Communicate the operational status and any safety, quality, or process concerns to management in a timely and proactive manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a cleanroom, manufacturing, or laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow SOPs precisely and document activities in real time.
- Comfortable working in a GMP-controlled cleanroom environment with appropriate PPE.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Adequate proficiency with Excel or spreadsheet software for basic data entry, organization, and analysis.
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $20 to $25 per hour. The pay ultimately offered may vary based on objective considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
